Ena van Bockel Rivera Mestey

Before i came to live in The Netherlands i lived and worked in Puerto Rico. I study in The University of Puerto Rico and graduated in 1992 with a BA in Plastic Arts and Humanities.During my studies i worked as a grafic artist and illustrator at Ramallo Brother's Printing Inc. I also designed greeting cards.

In 1992 i came to live in The Netherlands and got introduced in the art of silk painting.I started painting freelance.I started designing silk clothing like scarves,dresses and kimonos.

Most of my painting are ink on silk,with a lot of brilliant colors,black lines  and different known objects.The themes of my paintings are traditional and have folkloric roots, with a religious hue that comes from my puertorican culture. I also work with watercolors acrylics and mixed media.I work and live in The Netherlands.

My work are currently in the homes of private collectors in North America, Puerto Rico, The Netherlands and Switzerland.
